Glengoyne 16 Year Old Mizunara Oak Finish

An exciting limited release bottling from Glengoyne Distillery's Oak Masters series. This 16 year old single malt matured for ten years in classic first fill sherry and refill casks and was transferred to Mizunara Oak casks for a lengthy finish of 6 years. Mizunara is Japan's oldest and rarest oak variety and has a more porous quality for enhanced contact between wood and liquid. The result is a perfect combination of Glengoyne's signature unpeated, balanced and fruity spirit with enhanced nuttiness, vanilla, and spice from the Mizunara maturation.
